Starting another week after a great weekend. Twyla got to come up to c-ville to visit. And she gave me her bamboo plant to take care of. I'm going to be taking extra special care it. =) So I have that sitting on my desk right now. It looks nice. I really like it.

In other news I don't like DiffEQ. It's not that I thought I would, its just difficult since its basically all new stuff. New techniques, new types of equations, all that stuff. And our book likes to use letters a lot instead of numbers. Maybe that's just because its a higher level math course I don't know. But sometimes I'll look at a problem and it has no numbers and like 7 letters in it... and they're not even all english letters either... throw in a few delta's, phi's, alpha, beta, psi, epsilon, mu,... It's all Greek to me. For some problems it quite literally is. ``

Plus my TA took of points on my last quiz because I didn't show a step. I skipped writing down one step on the paper and he took points off. I still got the correct answer and everything. I just didn't physically write it down.

f(x) = 1 + sqrt( 3x + 1)
f(1) = 3

In between those two steps I lost points! I apparently didn't "show the fact I plugged "1" in for x. I mean come on. If it was some huge long formula, sure I would have written it out to keep everything straight. But if you're in DiffEQ and can't do that one in your head.... Just irks me. I mean come on, give me a break.

New banner and layout color scheme. Btw, that picture of top is one I took last year down some road here in c-ville. Up by the astronomy observatory. I just felt like a change around here. Start with new look.

Speaking of new looks... Well actually I have no segue from new looks... But that's ok. Anyway, the door on our suite is getting bad again. It wouldn't open this morning. We've put in work orders before, but it never gets fixed. See the problem is that the door handles don't exactly work. You know when you depress a handle it should make the door latch-thingy go in all the way? Thats what allows the door to open. However with our door pressing down the handle does not cause the door latch-thingy from going in. Thus making the door stuck. ie: you can't open it. ``

There is a solution when you come from the outside though. Turning the key as if to unlock the door works however... I found out this morning that that does you no good when you are inside the door. No key hole inside. Just a handle. A handle that doesn't work... Brian and I were trying for like 5 minutes to get the thing open this morning. We finally got it open, but Brian had to run so he could get to class. We were locked inside our own suite and the door was unlocked. Image that excuse to the professor.

"Why are you late today Brian?"
"Well sir, it was my door"
"Mmmmhmmmm"

We need to put in another work order. That would not be good if it gets stuck when I need to get somewhere. Must add to my todo list. Also on my todo list is to get the Sims 2. I think I will do that this afternoon when I go out to the store and places. I must build my digital family and raise their digital children. If you ask nicely I might put you in my neighborhood. Hehe. No telling who would live where or with who or what would go on, but that'll just be my little secret... mwahaha.

Someone broke one of those unbreakable water bottles. You know those clear plastic water bottes made of hard plastic. Well someone threw one of the ground at dinner last night and it exploded. Shot water out and cracked in a few pieces. So those things are undeed breakable. Who knew? The things you find out in college, I tell you.

Sqeeze cheese on Cheez-its is just too much, 7-11 slurpees rule, and grape soda with sun chips is the sh10zoXo11010!

I was hit by an acorn the other day. Walking to class under one of the big trees all of a sudden an acorn falls directly on my head. Like "........ POP" I'm like "oww." Everyone around me kind of looked at me weird after having said "oww" during a seemingly serene walk down the sidewalk. I bet it was the squirrels.... one of them always gives me an evil look.....
